The purpose of this announcement is to encourage research in hearing, voice, speech, language, balance, taste, and smell disorders in persons with HIV/AIDS. [...]

The purpose of the HOPWA program is to provide states and localities with the resources and incentives to devise long-term comprehensive strategies for meeting the housing needs of low-income persons with Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquire Immunodeficiency Syndrome(HIV/AIDS).
