Help the Campaign to End AIDS November 3-8!
Nine caravans of people with HIV/AIDS and their supporters are headed to Washington, D.C. from cities across the country as part of the Campaign To End AIDS. On November 3rd and 4th, two caravans will pass through Richmond, Virginia. These volunteers are seeking a place to stay for their night in Richmond and would greatly appreciate your support. Please contact Larry at (713) 344-8821 if you know of a community center or church that would welcome them. It takes all of us working together to make a difference!
Upon departing Richmond, thes caravans will head to Washington, DC for several days of action and education. On November 8th, The Campaign to End AIDS (C2EA) is sponsoring an advocacy day, where people from around the country will meet with their members of Congress. People will be broken up into groups to visit their members of Congress. The plan is to have one DC resident with each group to talk about what Congress can do to end AIDS in DC and across the country. Your help is needed to make sure that Congress gets the message about the importance of federal funding for HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.
If you are available, please register at www.CampaignToEndAIDS.org/advocacyday. You will be set up with a group once you register. If you can’t make it, encourage a friend to go in your place.
