Did You Receive Your VORA Invitation in the mail?

Good Morning!

We're so pleased to be hosting VORA's First Annual Membership Meeting — And we would be honored to have you join us! Invitations have been sent out and RSVP's are coming in …
If you have not received your own invitation in the mail, You Are Invited, Too!

We will have lunch together on
Tuesday, September 13, 2005, starting at Noon — at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Richmond, VA. St. Paul's address is 815 East Grace Street — and we're meeting in the very same room where the AIDS Awareness Day starts — the Norwood Room.

Please RSVP to Kristy by phone — 803-565-1604 — or by email to INFO@VORAonline.org. Kristy asks that you contact her by Tuesday, Sept 6th to make sure she has lunch for you.

And Some other news to share with you.

We were visited by Larry Bryant with the Campaign to End AIDS the other day.

(Some of you may remember Larry from his days at Alexandria's TC Williams High School — His pictures are still in the trophy cabinet there! Something about football … )

Larry came to tell us that the caravans of volunteers heading to Washington DC in early October will be spending the night in two Virginia communities — Richmond and Danville.

What follows comes from the C2EA website …

"As the 10 caravans of the Campaign to End AIDS make their way toward Washington, D.C. for our Five Days of Action, they'll be stopping in dozens of cities along the way for an array of exciting events. From rallies to gospel-fests to press conferences, it's all intended to show that we can stop AIDS."

Larry is looking for contact with folks in both Richmond and Danville, in particular folks who are willing to help the C2EA staff and volunteers locate a church or community center (or two or three!) willing to open the doors for overnight visitors and their sleeping bags.

Please — Let's show travelers from California the hospitality of all Virginians — Please contact Larry directly to offer your help. His contact information follows.
