Job Opportunities for Low-Income Individuals (JOLI) Program
The Job Opportunities for Low-Income Individuals (JOLI) program is authorized under Section 505 of the Family Support Act of 1988, Public Law 100-485, as amended by Section 112 of the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996, Public Law 104-193, as amended. The Family Support Act of 1988 authorizes the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to enter into agreements with non-profit organizations (including faith-based organizations and community development corporations) for the purpose of conducting projects designed to create employment opportunities for certain low-income individuals (42 United States Code (U.S.C.) 9926). The deadline for applications is March 21, 2006.

Faith-based and community organizations are eligible to apply. Non-profits having 501(c)(4) status with the IRS are also eligible to apply for this program.
