National Association of People with AIDS National HIV Testing Day Press Conference
NAPWA's National HIV Testing Day will be held at the National Press Club's 1st Amendment Room, located at 529 14th Street N.W. Suite 1300, Washington, D.C. This years National Press conference is to take place on June 26, 2006 at the National Press Club's 1st amendment Room from 9-11am. In addition NAPWA will be showing a series of PSA produced in collaboration with Black Entertainment Television (B.E.T.) & Kaiser Family Foundation (K.F.F.) during our Ryan White National Conference in Philadelphia over President's Day weekend. The Center for Disease Control has also developed a series of PSA for NAPWA surrounding National HIV Testing Day (NHTD).
Each year, on June 27, the National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) organizes National HIV Testing Day (NHTD), in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA), and other national and local entities across the country. This unique and effective initiative sends the message to those at risk from those already living with HIV that there are powerful reasons for learning one's HIV status.
