Opt-Out HIV Testing in Emergency Department Settings
CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a new funding opportunity entitled, “Opt-Out HIV Testing in Emergency Department Settings.” Approximately, $280,000 – $425,000 will be available in FY2006 to fund between 2-3 awards to support voluntary opt-out testing in the Emergency Department (ED) setting that includes streamlined provision of HIV-testing information prior to specimen collection, supplemented with written information for patients on HIV testing and services.
