Ryan White CARE Act Reauthorization – Your Input Needed
Sometime this fall, federal legislation will be introduced to continue the Ryan White C.A.R.E. Act past its current ‘expiration’ date of September 30, 2005. Changes are being considered. Congress and the Administration are asking for reactions to the proposals. We will keep information on the proposals and status of the reauthorization at this page. Today, find a powerpoint file used by Sue for a presentation she gave to the Northern Virginia Case Management Conference on September 20th.
We recommend that you first read through the President’s Principles. This press release gives you the basis upon which he believes that the CARE Act should be built for the next five years. To further detail how these Principles might be implemented, review the suggestions from HRSA. We have posted them here.
In preparing your comments to our Senators and Congress-persons, a review of what some national organizations’ positions are may be helpful.
