THE BALM IN GILEAD PRESENTS ITS NATIONAL BLACK CHURCH INSTITUTE FOR HIV/AIDS AND OTHER HEALTH DISPARITIES

The Balm In Gilead, a non-governmental organization whose mission is to improve the health status of people of the African Diaspora by building the capacity of faith communities to address life-threatening diseases, especially HIV/AIDS, presents The Black Church Institute for HIV/AIDS and Other Health Disparities to be held October 23-27, 2007 at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Now in its 7th year, The Black Church Institute on HIV/AIDS and Other Health Disparities brings together African American church leaders and representatives from across the country to enhance and strengthen their capacity to address HIV/AIDS, as well as other diseases that are disproportionately affecting African Americans such as cervical cancer and Hepatitis C.

This year’s Black Church Institute will include keynotes and workshop sessions from religious leaders who represent some of the nation’s top historical denominations and institutions…

Balm in Gilead founder/CEO Pernessa C. Seele will be the keynote speaker at this year's VORA Annual Meeting on September 12.
