First, decide if you want to use your name or not.

"CONFIDENTIAL Testing," means you provide your name, and the results of the test are kept confidential from just about anyone.

"ANONYMOUS Testing," means that you do not provide your name, nor is it reported. A special code is given to you before testing so that results may be provided to you.

The most accurate tests are blood tests – a sample is taken using a needle, the blood is sent to a lab to be tested, and the results are sent back to the place where you had your test. You return to your test site, and get the results from the Counselor.

Rapid Tests (such as OraQuick or Clear View) use the saliva from your mouth. Results may be ready the same day, or may be sent to a lab for processing. Any positive result is confirmed with another test to make sure the result is accurate.

Next, look for the City or County where you might want to be tested – the list is alphabetically ordered. Both Public Health Departments and Private Providers are listed. We update this list regularly. Even so, it’s a good idea to call to make sure the hours for testing are still current.

All testing for HIV is FREE of charge unless indicated otherwise below.
