The Good news and the Bad news …

The Good news is that the 2010 General Assembly did NOT reduce the funding any more that had already been cut.

The Bad news is that where the SPAP program originally was appropriated $300,000, today there is $200,000.

Some folks are saying, "Well, there isn't a need for SPAP anymore with federal health care reform."  Well, not yet!  For folks who are on Medicare, and facing the "donut hole", there is still a need for SPAP!  Today!

So until the true impacts of the federal health care reform are understood, please make sure that no one with HIV in Virginia is unable to get their medications — TODAY!!
