YOU @ AAD = $$ for ADAP

AAD = AIDS AWARENESS DAY @ FEBRUARY 2, 2011!

PARKING **  AGENDA ** RSVP for LUNCH

CHANGE:  START THE DAY AT THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY BUILDING, 3rd FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM, at 8 AM.

PLEASE BE IN RICHMOND ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd, 2011!

We will SUPPORT Governor McDonnell, Senator Puller, and Delegate A Howell Budget Amendments to Item 284 to Increase Funding for ADAP.

Until then, call, visit, and write your own Delegate and Senator to tell them that 1,200 new HIV cases/year are too many and that additional funding for AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) will help.  For help, 100 Visits and 2011 Legislative Program

Together we’ll remind our Virginia Delegates and Senators that well over 24,000 Virginians are living with HIV, and that our AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) is now closed to all but a very few new cases (only pregnant women, children under 18, or persons with an active opportunistic infection regardless of CD4 count).

YOUR VISITS, CALLS, LETTERS, and EMAILS to ask that both Governor McDonnell and Senator Puller’s budget amendments are needed to add $10 million to ADAP to eliminate the waiting list!
