“What Does VORA Do For Me?”

Good Question!!

How about this?

You can track legislation up-to-the-minute that is being considered by Virginia's General Assembly –

When you go to – www.VORAonline.org – and hit the link above "Important 2009 Legislation" –

It's all there — starting with legislation of particular interest to persons living with HIV.

From there, you can scroll down to view legislation that may impact access to care, insurance, medications, Olmstead-related bills, and even specialized transportation bills (i.e. assistance for persons with disabilities).

This year, VORA is also a member of a brand new coalition of groups and lobbyists working on legislation of interest to the Aging and persons with Disabilities.

All of us on this email either fit into one of those two categories or are providing services to persons impacted by these policies.

THAT's what VORA does for you.

And THAT's WHY we need your help — especially on AIDS Awareness Day !! Wednesday, January 28th.

Slots are filling up and we don't want anyone to miss out!

Visit www.VORAonline.org and register today!!  Or call 804-565-1604 and leave us a message.  Martina will get back in touch with you.

Remember the words "Yes, We Can!" Just as President-Elect Obama told us when he first started using that phrase, we cannot without you!

Sue

P.S.  Cannot be in Richmond on Wednesday, January 28th?  Please consider making a donation to VORA to help cover the costs for that day.  You can make donations online, too.  Simly visit www.VORAonline.org and click "donate".  Thank you!
